Project Aims
To research into the capacity of organisations and businesses within the Welland area to fulfil the requirements of the Disability Discrimination Act (1995); identify any problem areas and implement a strategy to enable any barriers to be overcome. The Welland Inclusion Project aims to ensure that people with disabilities are able to play a full part and are fully included in work, learning, involvement in local communities, volunteering and services. We work with partnerships, partners and individuals to ensure the project’s aims are achieved.

How the Project Helps
- Gives advice in three key areas
- Face-to-face visits to discuss how disabled people might be better included
- Meetings held with specific groups of people
- Offers a building access audit which includes your service provision
- Offers an information pack for potential employers and service providers
- Includes your organisation on a database
- Monitors your level of inclusion and develops with you to improve on this.
- Offers advice and information on appropriate equipment and solutions.
