Carers' ProjectWho is a carer? A carer is someone of any age whose life is affected by the need to help another person with daily living. How can we help you?
We are your local contact who can supply information, advice and support. We can help you receive allowances and benefits to which you, and the person you care for, are entitled to. Caring at home is a costly business. We help run and support two groups, The Carers' Break group, and The Mental Health Support group, and additionally a quarterly general information morning. Carers' Break Group We send out quarterly newsletters giving carers information on caring issues and details of events organised for carers. We can give you information on how to get help in your home, carers assessments and respite care. We provide information on Mental Health (including a support group for the carer) and information on respite care for the person you look after. We provide training for Carers.
