Funds and Figures

Funds and Figures is a 5 year project, working across the Harborough and Melton districts of Leicestershire. It commenced in April 2008.
Our aim is to improve the financial stability of local Voluntary and Community groups so that you can meet your longer term goals.
We can help you find money to get your group started, keep your group going, and to support you in your management of your finances.
What does the Funds & Figures project offer?
1)Training Sessions
We offer two levels of training both of which are running regularly in the Harborough and Melton Mowbray districts.
Strategic Fundraising and Finance Management
The next session is on Wednesday 29th February 2012 10.00- 4.00pm in Harborough Evangelical Church, Bath Street, Market Harborough.
Topics Covered Include:
The World Of Funding – how it is changing and how to respond to these changes
Costing Our Work – how to fully cost your work and how to present costs to funders
Where Is The Money Going to Come From– effective fundraising and income generation
Planning Ahead– to plan your fundraising, think strategically and avoid being funder led.

First Steps in Finding and Managing Funds
The next session in the Harborough District is Thursday 16th February 7.00-9.00 pm 2012. This will take place in Medbourne village Hall.

2) One-to-One Advice
Free advice sessions on any matters relating to Fundraising and Managing Finances, tailored to the needs of your group and at a location to suit you.

3) Peer Support Sessions
The next date for the Harborough District is Wednesday 15th February 2012 in the Evanglical Church, Bath Street, Market Harborough.
The topic will be 'New Ideas for Fundraising'.
As always there will be plenty of opportunity to network with other voluntary organisations in the area to share good practice, to support one another and exchange ideas.

4) Funds & Figures Funding Alert Bulletin
This contains up-to-date information on trust funds and grants. It has digestible information against each entry about who can apply for the funding and what the criteria the funders are looking for in applications as well as application details and contact details.
The Funds and Figures Funding Alert Bulletin is available to groups in the Funds and Figures area for £20 per year.

5) Information Sheets
We offer a range of information sheets on many topics such as Developing a Project Idea and Costing A Project as well as Gift Aid, Reserves and Developing a Fundraising Strategy.
